Robert C. Garland PRESIDENT & CEO

Has more than 20 years of business experience, with expertise in hedge fund portfolio-company management and the forest products industry, including 12 years of experience specific to recycled pulp. Mr. Garland is also chairman of Titan Industries and has been CEO for Great Lakes Pulp Company and American Fiber Resources; director of Armstrong World Industries, Inc.; chairman of ImageTree Corp.; a consultant at Price Waterhouse, LLP; an adjunct professor of finance at the University of Pittsburgh Katz MBA program; and a litigation and transactional law clerk. He holds a law degree, an MBA and a B.S. degree in business/psychology, all from the University of Pittsburgh.

Joseph Albrycht Vice President, Purchasing

Has 40 years of experience in pulp and paper industry, and has been with Mississippi River Pulp and its predecessor company for more than 15 years, with about a decade in this role. He also has held positions in sales, technical analysis and quality control, and was involved in brokerage of waste paper for North American Paper Company. He attended Miami University, Middletown, Ohio.

Steven V. Schreiber Vice President, Finance

Has more than 15 years of financial leadership experience with private-equity portfolio companies. He has been Vice-President of Finance for Imagetree Corporation; Controller for American Fiber Resources (and SFK post-aquisition of AFR); and a public accountant with Schreiber and Associates, CPAs. He holds a B.S. degree in accounting from West Liberty University, a Master of Business Administration degree from Duquesne University and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant.

Lynn Patt Vice President, Manufacturing

Has been in this role for Mississippi River Pulp and its predecessor company for more than a dozen years. Before becoming vice president he held the positions of production manager, production supervisor and maintenance millwright. With more than 35 years of experience in the pulp and paper industry, he also worked for Diamond International Corporation.

Tanya Smith Richardson Vice President, Process Engineer &
Product Development

Has been in this position with Mississippi River Pulp and its predecessor company for well more than a decade. She is responsible for the company’s gaining Food & Drug Administration (FDA) approval of its food- grade pulp and for patenting the testing protocol for that pulp. She holds a B.S. degree from the University of Louisiana, Monroe, and an M.S. degree from Louisiana Tech University.

Karen Ziemba Vice President, Sales

Has more than two decades of sales-related experience in the pulp and paper industry. She was sales and marketing manager for American Fiber Resources International, where she was responsible for the Great Lakes Pulp Company and American Fiber mills. The mills were then purchased by SFK Pulp, where she remained on as inside sales and customer service manager. She also previously held various positions at Menominee Paper Company. Ms. Ziemba attended the University of Wisconsin.


Mississippi River Pulp has an executive team with deep industry experience and a profound commitment to their customers, their customers' customers and the end users of products that contribute to a sustainable future. Some have been in key positions at the Natchez mill for quite some time and some left top spots at other companies in the field to join them.
